happy 2013!
this holiday season was pretty fantastic.
we laughed, ate lots of food, watched movies, spent time with family, & enjoyed lots of snow.
b was most excited about all the snow.
i was mostly excited to spend our first christmas as a married couple & talk to mas dawg.

with every new year comes new year's resolutions. can we just call them goals?
b&i talked and decided on a few goals we want to work on throughout the year.

-cook
-eat healthy foods
-attend the temple on a regular basis
-spend more "quality" time together

i feel like these are pretty realistic goals and something that can definitely be achieved/worked on over the year.
i'm excited to see what the new year has to bring!

let me tell you about my friend.
brittany and i met a few months before my wedding.
we clicked immediately. she knows how to capture my style to a perfect T.
we had so much fun during our engagements, bridals, and wedding day.  
she wasn't just my photographer she become a friend.

skip forward a few months.
brittany & i thought it would be fun to do a christmas themed shoot.
these are a few pictures from that day.
i love them. 

we used one for our very first christmas card.

temple lights.

a few weeks ago we went to salt lake to see the lights at temple square.
it was the perfect day to go. it was so warm we hardly needed our coats.
we started the night out with some delicious pasta (liv's favorite food) then to the mall for some shopping.
we all thought that liv would love the lights. turns out she is really NAUGHTY.
the temple is so beautiful and you can't help but feel peace when walking around the grounds.
we finished the night off with neilsons frozen custard.
success.

december is one of my favorite months out of the year.
especially the spirit of christmas.
it was my goal this year to get all my shopping done early so i could find the true meaning of christmas.

so here it is december 5th and i've finished my shopping, decorations are up, & christmas cards are in the mail.
i can't wait for b & i to spend our first christmas together.
here is to a month of full love, sparkle, and the real meaning of christmas.

the last few weeks i have felt incredibly blessed.
i opened my etsy shop about a year ago. it has been a great way to get some money on the side.
in august i designed my wedding invitation and starting putting more time towards the shop.

i love designing. what i don't love and what i'm not great at is promoting my business.
that is why i really have to thank my sister in-law Jamie for putting out a good word for me.
it started out with the amazing opportunity to design a wedding invitation for Jill. 
Jill is a sweetheart. i'm so excited for her and the big day. i think the invites turned out great.

of course christmas cards have been in the works. i think they are one of my favorite things to design.
i love the spirit that it brings. and of course getting the cards in the mail.

and the last thing i am super excited to be working on is branding for Studio 202.
my good friend Shy opened a business and needed business cards, price sheets, & gift certificates.
i'm in love with how everything turned out. it really captures her style and her business.
