party time.

lately it seems like we have been living for the summer holidays.
brandon has the day off. so we go from sun up to sun down.
we swim, eat, play with the kiddos, spend time with family, & eat some more!
its the perfect combination if you ask me.

the 24th did not disappoint.
we of course went to the hyde park celebration. parade & fireworks
and swam the day away.

liv is getting sassy with the camera. notice picture number 2.
and little leila loves chillin' in the pool.

american pride.

celebrating the 4th of july is always a favorite of mine.
hot weather and lots of family traditions.

this year we were lucky to have both b's brother & sister here visiting for the holiday.
we decided to make breakfast and start the day off right.
the waffles were delicious & the kiddos loved them.

my mom always has a pool day and grills out for lunch. 
utah has been experiencing a serious heat wave. 100 degree weather to be correct.
the pool is a nice way to cool off. lots of splashing and tricks off the diving board.
dad grilled the burgers & did a fantastic job. (even if I only had veggies on mine:)
 
it wouldn't be the 4th without fireworks.
brando & i quite enjoyed them this year.
we missed them last year and were happy to watch them at our usual spot.
i think logan has stepped up their firework game.
