happiest day.

.......................................................................................................................................................................
i'm finally getting my wedding pictures up! sorry for the overload but i love all my photos its hard to narrow it down. so here is a glimpse into our wedding day.
i know its very cliche' to say...but my wedding day really was the best day of my life.
there are so many people to thank for making the day so special.

these are a few highlights of the day:
-coming out of the temple and being surrounded by those we love
-being attacked by all the kiddos as we came out of the temple
-having our bff's in the temple with us
-finally eating food after lots of pictures and chatting
-beautiful centerpieces and our amazing tent
-playing games
-holding hands with b
-watching the nieces/nephews jump on the tramp
-our delicious cakes..yes CAKES.
-watching the rain come in
-leaving at the end of the night as MRS. DAVIS

there could be a part 2 to this..but for now this will do.

primary program.

.....................................................................................................................................................................
a few weeks ago we headed to idaho to see some of the cutest girls in their primary program.
the two hour drive was totally worth it. miss kaidence and hadley rocked it.
hadley's favorite part was singing "the wise man", and kk has quite the voice on her. american idol watch out.

the rest of the day was spent relaxing, playing with the girls, and eating delicious food.
kk's favorite thing to do is wrestle uncle brand. he is always a good sport.
the only bad thing about the day is it wasn't long enough. i love spending time with family and the kiddos.

good job girls. we love you kaidence, hadley, & sophie.

lonely.

today i get my husband back. he has spent the ENTIRE week at the library.
while i am proud of your commitment to school, brands, i want YOU back.
prepare for some cuddle time on the sofa and breaking bad...or the office. you can pick tonight:)
good luck on the tests!

love, k

learning...

..........................................................................................................................................................................
brandon and i have been married for 3 months. its not long, but i think its pretty cool.
here are a few things that i've learned so far..

-eating dinner together is very important & the easiest time to talk about our day
-patience is a virtue (still working on this one)
-my way isn't always the right way
-men like meat
-b snores
-laundry isn't so bad
-cooking isn't my "thing"....yet!
-going on dates is still important & necessary
-nagging isn't cool
-living with my bff is better than i ever imagined
-"home" is our apartment...not our parents house
-pets might not be in our future
-budgeting is key
-b works unbelievably hard
 -marriage is the best...SERIOUSLY

i know i have lots to learn but i couldn't be happier with my marriage.
one day i'll get around to blogging our wedding day.

what's for dinner?

.........................................................................................................................................................................
i'm not good at cooking. i try mostly because i don't want my husband to starve.
BUT i do have a favorite soup that is delicious. so delicious i have to share.
oh and did i mention that it is so soo easy.

this will probably be my first and last recipe post:)

ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 cups milk
1 can (15 ounce) black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (14.5 ounce) Rotel diced tomatoes and jalapenos
1 package (10 ounce) frozen corn
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
1 package (10 ounce) enchilada sauce
2 whole chicken breasts

what you'll do:
melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. stir in flour, keep stirring until smooth and bubbly.
remove from heat and add the chicken brother and 1/2 cup milk, a little at a time, stirring to keep smooth. return to heat. bring sauce to a gentle boil; cook, stirring constantly, until it thickens.  in a large bowl, whisk together the enchilada sauce and chicken broth mixture. gradually whisk in remaining milk until smooth. set aside.

in a crock pot, combine drained beans, tomatoes, corn, onion, and bell pepper. place the chicken breasts on top of mixture. pour sauce mixture over ingredients in cooker. cover; cook on low heat for 6 to 8 hours.

before serving take out chicken and shred or dice, then put back and stir together.
serve with sour cream, shredded cheese, lime, avocado, and tortilla chips.

i promise you won't be disappointed.

........................................................................................................................................................................
today was the first time that brandon and i went grocery shopping together.
kind of odd since we've been married for almost 3 months.
i don't mind doing the shopping, its more of the cooking that i struggle with.
it was really nice to have a buddy with me and someone to push the cart.

i might sound crazy, because of our surroundings, but walking through the asiles of walmart i felt SO much love for brandon. (even when he was picking out hot dogs)
it was like we finally had time outside of the house, outside of the library, just us two and not in a rush.

time seems to be flying by and i want to look back at this time and have lots of memories.
my new goal is to make the most out of the time that b and i spend together.
even the most simple times like going to the grocery store:)

happy halloween!

........................................................................................................................................................................
halloween this year was the bomb! b and i didn't dress up or have any crazy parties to attend and we were happy about it. we were excited to spend it with the kiddos!

first we visited our cute little owl....miss liv. surprisingly she put on the costume.
we tried to take her to a carnival the ward was having and she didn't want anything to do with it.
but she got in the halloween mood and looked so cute. she loved all the candy grandma gave her:)

then we were off to see jack, hals, and leila.
little leila didn't dress up...but who needs a costume when you are that cute!
hal was a princess and jack was a aggie football player.

we took them trick-or-treating around grandma marys house
they came back with a huge stash of candy, tooth brushes, and crazy glasses.
the last picture is a little awkward. jack wanted to take a picture of us...hal was standing in-between  but ran off before he took the picture. so that is the reason for the odd bending.

i hope everyone had a great halloween.

fall break.

 ......................................................................................................................................................................
fall break treated us VERY well.
we went to salt lake and ate at one of our favorite restaurants reg iguana.
if you haven't tried it.. prepare to have your mind blown.
we did a little shopping at city creek. my favorite park was the west elm store!!
omg, i could have stayed their for hours...but brandon wasn't really feelin it.

you can't go to salt lake without stopping by for a walk around the temple.
i love the feeling you get when you walk around temple square.

we went to a movie with some of our best friends that sadly moved away from us. it was so great to see them and catch up! we miss you garrett + kara!

then spent a relaxing night with my family and baby liv. eating delicious food at fredrico's.
it was quite the weekend.

i hope everyone had a great halloween! pictures to come soon!
